Conditions worth knowing
- Rebates are based on ENERGY STAR criteria, rated as a whole system (SEER2/EER2/HSPF2) by AHRI. PECO does not honor a manufacturer's own "up to" efficiency rating — ask the contractor to confirm eligibility before buying.
- Application must be received within 90 days of purchase/install, with a paid receipt showing model number, manufacturer, price and date.
- A separate natural-gas track (furnace, boiler, gas conversion) exists for PECO gas-service customers; not recorded here since it isn't heat-pump technology. PECO announced those natural-gas rebate levels will be reduced for applications submitted on or after October 1, 2026 — a sign the utility revises this program mid-cycle, though it doesn't directly touch the electric heat-pump amounts below.
- Also covers AC/heat-pump maintenance (up to $50), an ECM fan motor ($50) and a smart thermostat (up to $50), not recorded here as none is heat-pump equipment.
Incentive amounts
| Technology | Amount | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| ENERGY STAR air-source heat pump | Up to $300 | ENERGY STAR certified; Whole-system AHRI rating, not a component-level rating |
| ENERGY STAR ductless mini-split heat pump | Up to $300 | ENERGY STAR certified; Whole-system AHRI rating, not a component-level rating |
