Conditions worth knowing
- Residential electric and/or natural gas Xcel Energy customers in Minnesota.
- Customers using a heat pump as their primary heating source are eligible for a reduced electric space heating rate — an ongoing saving separate from the rebate itself.
- Non-ducted (mini-split) systems may be self-installed and still qualify; ducted systems require a Trade Partner Network contractor.
- Invoices and installations must be completed by December 31, 2026; rebate applications are accepted through September 30, 2027.
- Rebate amounts cannot exceed installation costs.
