Conditions worth knowing

This is the lower of Connecticut's two rebates — six times smaller per ton than the Energy Optimization incentive. It applies when you are not displacing fossil fuel or electric resistance heat.
Covers replacing a heat pump with another heat pump, installing for heat without integrated controls, adding a heat pump to a previously unconditioned space, or cooling only.
If you are replacing natural gas, oil, propane or electric resistance as the primary heating source, the Energy Optimization incentive applies instead and pays far more.
Incentive period runs January 1 to December 31, 2026.
Residential electric customers of Eversource and United Illuminating only.
Equipment must be on the Energize CT Heat Pump Qualified Product List and installed by a contractor in the Energize CT Heat Pump Installer Network.
Projects are selected at random for inspection, and failing to complete a required inspection forfeits the rebate.
